The new style MultiPlus is set to replace the earlier MultiPlus Compact range. It is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger that features adaptive charge technology and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure.

Charging Break-away Brakes Battery

  • The System has a 1A 12V charger to trickle charge a break-away battery system.

  • Alternatively, a starter battery can be charged independently.



Uninterrupted AC power

  • >In the event of 240V site, shore or generator being disconnected, the inverter is automatically activated and takes over.

  • This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.




Power Assist 

This feature has benefits for mobile applications:

  • Operate an air-conditioner from a small portable generator. The Inverter will assist during the high start-up surge. RV air-conditioners like the TRUMA Aventa use less than 1kw when running and can operate with only a Honda EU10i with the larger Inverter/charger

  • Supplement Shore power on a boat during start up of all 240v appliances.

  • When load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.



Ultra Low power consumed in search mode.

This feature reduces power consumption when not in use.

  • When microprocessor operated 240V devices like expresso coffee machines startup, their microprocessor controller starts first before the complete machine is turned on. This microprocess uses very low power. 

  • The Inverter has to sense this low power in “econo” mode or it wont start the coffee machine. Competitors typically “turn up” the watt sense as they cant detect low watt microprocessors in econo mode. This uses a lot more power over night. (see Enerdrive Stories)

  •  Victron have an ultra-low power Cunsumption.



High efficiency

  • With up to 95% efficiency, these inverter/chargers generate up to four times less heat when compared to the industry standard. 

  • Once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to 0,5 Watt, some five to ten times better than the industry standard.



Lithium-ion (LiFePO₄) Battery Specific Features

Storage mode

  • The storage mode kicks in whenever the battery has not been subjected to discharge during 24 hours. 

  • In the storage mode float voltage is reduced.

  •  This feature relaxes the Lithium cells in storage for a longer stored life



Recover Deeply Discharged Lithium Batteries

  • Unlike other brands, the Smart Charger will attempt to recharge a deeply-discharged battery by force-feeding it with a low current.

  • This protects the life of Lithium batteries and is critical for safety after a deep discharge.

  • Normal charging will then be resumed as soon as there is sufficient voltage across the battery terminals.



Automatic Switch off at low temperatures

  • NEVER attempt to charge a Li-ion battery when its temperature is below 0°C. 

  • The chargers slows down and turns off at this critical temperature.



Adaptive Smart Charging

  • A microprocessor controlled ‘adaptive’ battery management system will automatically optimise the charging process relative to the way the battery is being used.
